ARTIST STORY: I work in all types of materials. and often have to create small test trials. The tests help me figure out the best process to achieve my vision. I can make hundreds of small pieces working out a issue. The small pieces are artworks in their own right, but to me they are just residuals. They are necessary steps of creating my final vision.
I am currently working on a printing process that is very laborious and requires me to create test for each step. I ink up a doily and do a test print for saturation and color correctness. I would then throw out the tests. At some point, I noticed, I had the most beautiful trash. I switched to cotton paper for my test so that they would be at least archival. I had no idea what I was going to do with all the sheets of paper. All I knew was my residual tests were worth keeping.
After collecting the residual art for a while, I decided that I could take this even further, by creating the test on blank cards. This is how the Arty Card Club was developed.
The Arty Card Club gives you a opportunity to afford a whole collection of paintings. By the nature of the process their will be no duplicates. The paintings would look great displayed as a collection on any wall.
Of course, your friends would appreciate it more, if you sent them a card. Consider purchasing a group of cards for yourself and a set to give away. It would cost very little to frame a card as a gift. You can also purchase the cards for birthdays, and holidays. Remember they are blank inside and you can write what ever you like. If you would like a large scale painting look at the one of a kind artwork, offered as the last reward.
GIFT TAGS- I am also offering 2x4 Gift tags in sets of 5. They are on the same quality paper as the cards. They can be folded to make small gift cards or hole punched to gift tags. They are printed on one side and blank on the other.
$3.00 for a package of 5
SCRAPBOOK AND COLLAGE PAPER-I am also offering scrap paper by the once. This is also on very fine printing and watercolor paper. The scrap paper comes from prints that did not make the cut to the gallery. The artwork can be watercolor, relief printing or encaustics (paintings in wax) The paper will make great back grounds for your own projects. They also can be used in card making or collage art. The possibilities endless.
$5.00 for one ounce

ONE OF A KIND PAINTING-The last thing I am offering is a original one of a kind painting. The painting is the result of the process I described above. If you select this, You will have first dibs at all the paintings in the collection. I normally do not make artwork available until I have exhibited it, at least once. Plus the price, is a great deal. You will not see it in any gallery. This is what makes this reward a great opportunity for collectors.
The artwork will be matted and ready for you to frame.
Here are some samples of my new paintings. You can pick one of these or ask to see others.
$200.00 for one of a kind painting- Ask to see others or you can view them on www.flickr.com/photos/deborahlandry

This is a painting I created using the Arty Card Club Scrapbook and Collage Papers. I wanted you to see what you can do with the papers. I created this painting to demonstrate what can be done with the Collage and scrapbook papers. I first ripped up the papers and then glued them to a board. I then painted its with acrylics. I let it dry then painted a layer of wax and added some textural elements (wax bees and and doilies). The papers work great to layer. I love the fact that they are encaustic and resist water based paint.
